Participation fees

The participation fee is the same for singers and non-singers (conductors, accompanying adults, or anyone wishing to benefit from the festival’s services), as well as for Study Tour participants. Study Tour participants must also pay an additional €80 to cover the cost of obtaining the scores for all workshops.

The participation fee includes attendance at the festival, including participation in ateliers, concerts, and performances, as well as the musical scores for singers. It does not include the costs of accommodation, meals (which can be ordered separately), or scores for study tour participants.

Festival meals

Meals are not included in the participation fees but can be added to the registration. Adding meals to the registration is only possible for the entire duration of the festival and for all members of the group.

Terms & conditions

General

The number of participants the festival can welcome is limited. Registrations after the deadline of 1 March 2026 are only possible in case of availability of places.
Europa Cantat Junior is an inclusive and open event, offering a safe space for all people involved in the sessions, irrespective of age, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, ability, race, ethnicity, origin, religious or political opinion, or economic or other status. All individuals involved, including participants, are required to sign and respect the Code of Conduct produced by the European Choral Association, and to ensure that it is known and followed by their group.
Each choir is responsible for ensuring the presence of a sufficient number of accompanying adults who will look after the well-being and safety of the underage participants throughout the entire stay at the festival.
The European Choral Association, the Secretariat de Corals Infantils de Catalunya, and the organizers of future editions of Europa Cantat Junior are authorized to use photographs, audio, and video recordings of festival participants worldwide, for any media, without time limitations, and exclusively for non-commercial purposes. They are also authorized to share this material with third parties in order to promote or disseminate the event.
All groups are responsible for their own medical care, either by obtaining the European Health Insurance Card or private health insurance. Group leaders and accompanying adults are responsible for the safety and supervision of all minors in their group during the festival. Participants must inform the organization of any relevant medical conditions, dietary restrictions or special needs.
Participants agree to follow the instructions of the organizers regarding safety, emergency procedures, and festival regulations.

Participation

You can register from 3 November 2025 until 1 March 2026.
The participation fee is the same for singers and non-singers (conductors, accompanying adults, or anyone wishing to benefit from the festival’s services), as well as for Study Tour participants. Study Tour participants must also pay an additional €80 to cover the cost of obtaining the scores for all workshops.
The participation fee may be waived for a necessary accompanying adult providing one-on-one support to a participant with special needs, upon request to the organization.
Adding new members to a group after registration is subject to availability. Please contact us, and we will assess whether it is possible.
If the number of participants changes after advance payments have been made but before 1 March 2026, the difference will be calculated in the final balance payment.

Ateliers

All the ateliers have a limited number of places available. The organisers do not guarantee that each choir will be allocated their first choice atelier.
Admission to ateliers does not depend on the date of registration but on a combination of factors such as a good balance of voices, ages and countries.
The age indications for the ateliers are meant as a guideline. Choirs may include younger or older singers, as long as they are aware of the age group for which each atelier is intended. In case of doubt, they are welcome to contact the organisers for confirmation.
If the ages of your singers are significantly different in your detailed participation list than on your registration form, the organisers can assign your group to a different atelier than first allocated.

Advance payment

After registration, we will send an invoice for an advance payment of €120 per person, to be paid before 1 March 2026.
If festival meals are added to the registration, an additional €10 per person will be added to the advance payment.
The advance payment is fully refunded in case of cancellations (group or individual) before 1 March 2026. It is not refunded after 1 March 2026, except if the organizer cancels.
If the advance payment is not made within the deadline, your workshop preferences will not be considered when allocating ateliers.

Balance payment

In April 2026, an invoice will be sent for the payment of the remaining registration fee and festival meals, which must be paid before 1 June 2026.
This remaining payment will be fully refunded in case of cancellations (group or individual) before 1 June 2026, except for €20 per person in administration fees (maximum €200 per choir). It will not be refunded after 1 June 2026, except if the organizer cancels.
Participants may, on their own initiative, purchase private insurance that allows them to be refunded in case of cancellation due to illness.
Failure to make the final payment will be considered a cancellation of participation.

Cancellation by the organisers

If the event is cancelled by official requirement of the Catalan or Spanish government, or due to unforeseen circumstances, all participants will receive a full refund of their fees, except for €20 per person in administration costs (maximum €200 per choir).
If the festival can take place, but your group cannot attend due to official regulations from your government, you will receive a full refund minus €20 per person in administration costs (maximum €200 per choir).
