The Opernkinderchor der CHORAKADEMIE at Konzerthaus Dortmund is one of the leading children’s choirs in the German-speaking world. The ensemble comprises singers aged 9 to 13 and trains under the artistic direction of Elisabeth Strake and Dietrich Bednarz. The choir performs regularly in major opera productions across the Ruhr region and beyond. Recent highlights include Janáček’s The Cunning Little Vixen, Puccini’s La Bohème, and a sing-along concert with Joyce DiDonato at Konzerthaus Dortmund in March 2025.
