Helena works as a choral conductor and a vocal coach at the Diocesan Classical Gymnasium of St. Stanislav’s Institution in Ljubljana, she also teaches vocal technique at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana.

She conducts the St. Stanislav Girls’ Choir and the St. Nicholas Choir Litija, both internationally recognized for their vocal excellence and artistic originality. The St. Stanislav Girls’ Choir, under her direction, is considered one of the most renowned girls’ choirs in the world. With them, she performed at the World Symposium on Choral Music (2017) and the National Conference of the American Choral Directors Association (2019). She also assists the 110-member (Re)Mixed Choir of the DCG, known for their dynamic performances of pop and musical theatre.

Her choirs are admired for their refined vocal technique, rich and balanced choral sound, and imaginative interpretations across genres and historical periods. She is deeply committed to contemporary Slovenian choral music, regularly commissioning and premiering new works by Slovenian composers.

As a guest conductor, she has worked with the Slovenian Children’s Choir, the RTV Slovenia Chamber Choir, and the Slovenian Philharmonic Choir.

Helena has received numerous national and international awards for her work and was honored with the 2016 Award for Outstanding Achievements in Music Education by the Republic of Slovenia.

She is a sought-after jury member at choral competitions at home and abroad and is widely respected as an inspiring leader and educator. She has nurtured generations of singers who continue to shape the Slovenian choral landscape with creativity and passion.
