Voices in Motion

An atelier to explore how movement, breath, and voice connect in living, natural music.
In this workshop, we explore the movement within our voices—not just in sound, but through breath, body, and musical interaction. Our vocal lines weave, twist, and respond to each other, creating music that feels alive and connected. Sometimes, we’ll add gentle movements to support the natural flow of the music – nothing choreographed, just simple ways to feel the rhythm and direction in your whole body. No special experience needed – just your voice and a curiosity to explore how singing can move you in every sense.

Belgium

Marleen De Boo holds Master’s degrees in both Music Pedagogy and Choral Conducting. She teaches conducting at the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp and the Podiumacademie Lier. As a conductor, she works with a diverse range of singers—from beginners to professionals—with a special emphasis on children’s and youth choirs.

Currently, Marleen serves as the artistic director of Waelrantkoren, where she conducts five of the eight ensembles. Her approach is deeply rooted in the pedagogical power of choral singing, using music as a means to help young people discover themselves and grow through shared musical experiences.

In addition to her conducting work, Marleen is active internationally as a workshop leader, juror, and choral coach.
